On your marks …

We understand websites, domain names, hosting, SEO, the cloud, widgets, plugins and even “zoohickey’s” and “Lorem ipsum dolor sit ametds”. All that is web.

You understand your business, your products or services and most importantly your clients or customers.

Together we make a team to get you up and running on the web like a pro … Hey you’ve always been there!

Get set …

We meet, your ideas meet our design knowledge and it works … well we discover and plan first then …

  • Discover – all we need to know about your business, services, clients, ideas and vision.
  • Plan – how we are going to put you on the web and what technologies are needed. We don’t need everything out there and sometimes less is most definitely more.
  • Design – a few ideas on layout, colours, fonts and everything else that makes a great website, even a few widgets and plugins.

GO …

Once everyone is happy then we GO …

  • Develop – this is where we really make it happen. We build most of our sites using the power of WordPress, but we can also build using HTML and CSS.
  • Test & QA – we test everything over and over. We give you access so you can test and your friends can test.
  • Live Launch – we launch your website on a live server. We discuss domain names and hosting along the way so all this will be in place at this stage.

At the finishing line …

Using WordPress means that the control and updating of your website content can be handed over to you. If you can use MS Word then you can edit and update your content in WordPress. This means no more on-going support or maintenance fees to pay for updates and minor changes in website content (of course we can provide this as an addon service if you require it).

A little more about WordPress

WordPress began life as a simple blogging tool for a handful of users in 2001. Since then it has grown into a fully-fledged dynamic CMS (Content Management System) based on PHP and MySQL. WordPress is an Open Source project, which means there are hundreds of people all over the world working on it. (More than most commercial platforms.) This also means that there is loads of support for it, just in case something goes wrong and everything is documented on the WordPress Codex – no mysteries here.

As of August 2011, it was being used by 14.7% of Alexa’s internet top 1 million websites. It manages 22% of all new websites and is currently the most popular CMS on the internet. As of December 2011, version 3.0 has been downloaded over 65 million times. WordPress is currently at version 3.4.2 with version 3.5 in beta-testing (November 2012).

If you need great photos of your products or services or happy clients or just great photos then we can help. We have an excellent photographer on our team. She uses a Canon EOS10D DSLR with a Canon 28-200m lens and is quite a whizz in Adobe CS4 (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design).

We have produced flyers, print adverts, business cards, logos for various businesses so if you have needs just ask and you will be pleasantly surprised. We are also not afraid to say “No we cannot do that” and will always try our best to make a suitable recommendation of someone who can.
